We spent a few days in the yard having the old dash glassed and painted. Then replaced all the switches with Cole Hersee Contra Switches with engraved actuators. The existing 110V AC switches were replaced with 12V DC triggered Solid State Relays so NO AC power had to be in the helm area. While re-configuring the dash we converted the old sending with a NMEA 2000 Black box to convert them to a digital format so all engine info would be available on the 7608 Garmin Displays along with Engine Alarms and Generator Run Instances.
We will be installing an Interceptor Trim Tab System on a 51 Bertram in the upcoming weeks. I can't wait to see how well they work in a retrofit application!
